And before you ask—yes, that backdrop is actually a curtain made for a window. 😂 Sometimes you really just have to lock in and see the possibilities in what’s already in front of you.

This shoot was a perfect reminder that the setting doesn’t always have to be elaborate to create something that feels intentional. With the right styling, direction, and a little creativity, an everyday piece can become the foundation for an entirely different look.

Growing up, Asia and I did a little modeling and acting, so being in front of the camera together has always been familiar territory. I’ve always loved creating with my sister, but stepping in front of the camera also gives me a chance to fully immerse myself in the photography experience from the other side.

So, what should we turn into a backdrop next?
