Fall Scenes at Brushy Creek 🍂

Recently I spent an evening location hunting at Brushy Creek in Austin, TX and had the chance to shadow a photographer friend’s session there. (s/o to Savannah at @allee.photography). I had never been and wanted to expand my location list specifically for the fall season. Between the tall grass, soft light, and peaceful trails, it was such a great reminder of why I love exploring new spaces before a shoot. As a photographer, location scouting is one of the most valuable parts of my creative process. It allows me to find the spots that feel most natural for my clients.
Beyond that, it’s a moment to simply create. I get to play with light, angles, and create some nice imagery that you can use for the fall season! Consider it like a stock portfolio.
And honestly, it’s even better when you can do it alongside other creatives. Having a supportive community of photographers to share locations, ideas, and encouragement makes the work feel lighter and more inspired.
If you’re thinking about booking a fall session, Brushy Creek has officially made its way to the top of my list — from the trails to the water to those perfect pops of autumn color, it’s an incredible backdrop this season.
